Ellen is such a wonderful person to work with. She is thoughtful in her work, always listening to the client and reading between the lines to clarify that they are getting exactly what they had hoped. We are so happy with the work that she did in our home! The best part about her relationship with clients is that she has a wonderful understanding of personalities. This makes her a notch above the average designer. She is able to work with all different types and stay engaged in a positive relationship while beautifying all that she puts her creative energies into.

When Ellen is involved, she studies the person whose space she’s making beautiful. The outcome is better than you imagined because she knows YOU and your style. She won’t make you use awful colors, but pushes you to try something new and you LOVE it because she has the touch and just KNOWS. For me, I watched her fall in love with pieces in a store, and I was a tough sell. After pondering it a couple days, I went back and picked up the item and, as usual, she was right: it was PERFECT for my space. Ellen has the best judgement! She doesn’t fill the space with junk; but rather, she finds smokin’ deals on gorgeous, solid pieces that both anchor and transform a room. This is the third home that Ellen has helped us with. Everything from wall color, kitchen cabinets and counters, flooring – she works well within the confines of budget, style choices and personal taste.

She has partnered with us to take what we have an arrange it in a way that makes it more beautiful and cohesive than it would have ever been otherwise. Her eye for detail and consideration of your tastes (as opposed to pushing her design plan) sets her apart from others. I LOVE that I feel my opinions are critical to making the space better, although I equally LOVE that she can take the reigns and go for it.
